Who is the Emerson Mafia?

Short answer: You are.

Longer answer: The Emerson Mafia is a platform for its members to connect, promote, educate and entertain themselves and others.

Believe it or not, The Emerson Mafia is an independent group started by a few dedicated and successful alumni of a not so specific college that could possibly not be located in Boston and backed by one uber-successful shadow investor with a fetish for helping talent of any age achieve their goals. It is a Non-Profit Corporation, which is a good thing for all of us because any money earned, such as from our events, merchandise, etc. goes right back into the organization. We assure you that after countless nights filling ourselves with caffeine and staring at computer screens, none of us are making any money off of this.

The real important point to make about this organization is that, like most things in life, it can only be as valuable as you make it. In the first 6 months, with no advertising our little group grew to over 1,600 members, consisting of writers, directors, publicists, assistants, PA's, cinematographers, actors, models, journalists, producers, grips, and even the unemployed too. That's a lot of people who are all trying to get to the top of their respective fields. It's often said that this business is all about who you know.well you now know 1,600 people in all sorts of facets of the industry. You may not be good friends with them and certainly will never meet all of them, but if you're willing to help someone else, chances are someone else is willing to help you too. Make that $100,000+ spent for an art degree work for you. When one member of the Mafia attains success, we all do.
