Mafia Member and International bon vivant Chris Garcia was nominated for and decidedly lost two Hugo Awards. The Hugos, the Oscars of the Science Fiction community, were announced at the 65th annual World Science Fiction Convention in Yokohama Japan over Labor Day weekend. While Chris got more nominations than any of the other nominees, he managed to come in fifth out of a field of five in both categories. Chris told us that he plans to enjoy his failure by writing an issue of his zine The Drink Tank dedicated to famous losers...like Al Gore and New Coke. Don't worry Chris, Al Gore is making a comeback and New Coke was just renamed Coke Zero. If Al can do it, so can you. www.thehugoawards.org The Don
